Lets do something different around the beaches of Algarve

Everyone loves swimming and laying on the beaches, but if you like admiring beaches with their rocky characteristics from cliff tops, you should read this!

Hike trail Part 3 - in Portimao

Portimao:
Portimão is the western Algarve’s main commercial centre and the second-most-populous city in the Algarve. Those expecting a gritty port town will be disappointed/relieved – the centre is a small, friendly hub with a pleasant waterfront, an assortment of outdoor cafes, and sizzling fish restaurants in the old quarter and quayside.

From Praia do Vau to Praia dos Três Irmãos (3.7 km)

I took a walk to the closest beach in Portimao town - Praia da Rocha

Then got a taxi for a 10 min ride to reach here - Praia do Vau, to start my hike for the day

Praia do Vau - the trail in this area is very well maintained and I met a lot of hikers on my way

Praia do Submarino - from the other side. Its called the Submarine beach because of that flat rock in the water that looks like a submarine. :)

Then after getting a bit lost on the last stretch of my trail, (also a section of the trail in towards the end requires some basic rock climbing skills), finally reached Praia dos Três Irmãos

If you are planning to hike with a heavy backpack like I did (8 kilos), make sure you have proper hiking shoes with good grip and you are athletic! :)

Portimao has so much to offer to the visitors that I think it should necessarily be visited by the people with their friends and families. They will surely enjoy a lot by this tour especially the sea side will be the best for them.
