Lets do something different around the beaches of Algarve

Everyone loves swimming and laying on the beaches, but if you like admiring beaches with their rocky characteristics from cliff tops, you should read this!

Hike Trail 2 - in Lagoa

Lagoa:
Rural town in the hinterland of the western Algarve.

I had scanned all the beaches and how they look like online on Google earth maps, so I wanted to skip the basic beaches and go for the ones which had more character to it, with artistic rock formations, sea caves, arches, and such like. So, I requested the taxi driver to take me to the next interesting beach which was Praia de Albandeira.

But the taxi driver was too nice and insisted to show me the Fort of Nossa Senhora da Rocha and allowed for a quick stop, which was totally worth it. And then we headed to my destination.

From Praia de Albandeira to Praia de Benagil (3.6 km)

The sun was starting to set, and the hike from Praia de Marinha to Praia de Benagil is moderate level and will require some basic rock climbing skills.

It was already dark and a bit chilly (yes, even though it was June and 30 deg C during the day, but as soon as the sun sets, chill creeps in) when I reached Benagil, so I decided to get some dinner there in the restaurant, warmed up inside with some Port wine and then took a taxi back to my room in Portimao.

I am really interested to discover new places like the one you are talking about in this post. It was all about the ideas that you are having in this post for the first time.
