During my recent trip to Berlin I wanted to make the most of the nice weather by not just seeing the famous sites and museums around the main city. After some online research and speaking to some local friends, I learned about the historic Dresden and the iconic Bastei Bridge. There are plenty of trains and buses available from Berlin that reach Dresden in 2 -2.5 hours depending on the connections. The buses are the most frequent and direct ones and run round the clock. You can plan it ahead of time by visiting Goeuro or Busradar. About half a day in Dresden is the perfect amount of time to see all the town has to offer. Afterwards you can easily jump on a bus to Bastei for the night, waking up in the historic town for a tour before returning to Berlin. I have covered all about it in my article for WeAreTravelGirls.
